African Oak
African Oak, also known as Strombosia pustulata, is a hardwood tree native to tropical regions of Africa. Despite its name, it’s not a true oak, but it shares similar properties like strength and durability. The wood is prized for its rich, reddish-brown color and attractive grain patterns, making it a popular choice for fine furniture, flooring, and cabinetry. Known for its resistance to decay and pests, African Oak is also used in boat building and construction, particularly in environments exposed to harsh weather conditions. The tree itself can grow quite tall, often reaching heights of 20 to 30 meters.
